Lamar Clark was born and raised in Washington, DC, the one-time home of his boxing idol Sugar Ray Leonard. As a young man coming of age in the early 80’s, Clark grew to love the grit, glitz and glamour of boxing while watching Sugar, Roberto Duran, Larry Holmes, and later Mike Tyson. At this same time, Lamar got hooked on sports magazines, spawning his interest to create his own.  •  After LC graduated with a master’s degree in Communication Arts from New York Institute of Technology, he began designing and art directing for various magazines including Sports Illustrated for Kids, SLAM, NBA HOOP, SAVOY and Scholastic’s Coach and Athletic Director. •  In 2006, he founded Clark Creative Media, Inc. and published the first issue of ROUND1. In ’07, ROUND1MAG.COM was launched. • Clark’s been blogging since February 2008 and has extensively covered some of boxing’s biggest fights including Cotto vs. Margarito, Pavlik vs. Hopkins, Jones vs. Calzaghe, and De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao. He has earned complete media access and now produces, ‘WHO YOU LIKE?’ and co-produces ‘The Undercard’ for ROUND1TV.
