Though Urango may be the physically stronger fighter, I like Berto’s superior speed. Urango tends to swing wide and slow and I think Berto will take advantage of that by outboxing him from the outside. Berto won’t hurt Urango however, so I’ll go with Andre via unanimous decision.

I met Arthur Curry at FIT Cafe in 1990 we were young & crazy. But he left such an impact in my life that we were best friends for 15 years. Eric thank you for your article describing the greatest human being on this earth. I am so grateful to have him in my race- the human race. He loved people badminton chess -true KNICKS fan -harmonica children & BOXING -Roy Jones & all the fighters to end of his HBO career. He was the most powerful charisma & loving heart & fun & sexy character & most crazy man in my life that I loved him with everything in my heart. He demand respect when walked into a room with Barry White voice & his teddy bear body. He took a piece of my heart. But left great memories & made great memories to me & my family. My deepest sympathy to his mother & his friends & HBO from my family. I will take with me all his charactertics & his lessons & his love from a true special individual. There will be no one like him. I remember askin him if he voted. Arthur said, “How do you ask a Black man born in 60s if he voted? .” He laughed & joked around cause he want people to SMILE & have PEACE! I love you Artie! Unfortunately I did not know Arthur Curry, but
my heart goes out to he and his family. I am a boxing fan and have Judged boxing since 1970.
Reading this story gave me a great feel for Arthur Curry’s fabulous character.This was only made possible by the down to earth,skillful writing in this article.

Met him years ago and I still remember how he laughed at us when we bought some race horses and the joy he took in our success over the years.

It was impossible to talk to him and not walk away with a smile on your face. He was an angel to everyone who knew him.

My father met him on a plane in the 80s and was so impressed he kept the name and number written on a napkin and kept in touch. Dad introduced me to him as one of his most treasured friends many years later.

I doubt dad and I met or spoke to him more than 5 times in our life, and we were not from his main domain of sport television, yet his impact was profound. You could not meet him and not love him in short turn.

I suspect there are thousands of people like my dad and I who remember him.

I cried when I heard the news.
